FAQs

Do I need a GP referral to see a fertility specialist at FSF Dandenong?

A GP referral allows you to access Medicare rebates for specialist consultations and investigations and your IVF treatment. You’re welcome to book your initial appointment without one, but you’ll need a valid referral before your specialist consultation to ensure rebates can be applied.

Can I do my appointment via telehealth?

Yes, telehealth appointments are available for consultations. This option can be helpful if you’re balancing work, travel or childcare. Our staff will advise which appointments can be completed remotely and which require you to visit the clinic, such as ultrasounds or procedures.

Who will I see during my fertility journey?

You’ll be supported by our Dandenong fertility nurse team. They will work closely with you to review your history, guide you through each step of the process and help prepare you for treatment. Our nurses coordinate your care with your fertility specialist and support you through every step of your journey.

Is FSF Dandenong easy to access for appointments?

Yes. Our clinic is located inside Dandenong Plaza, making it convenient for patients travelling from Dandenong and surrounding suburbs, including Noble Park, Keysborough and Springvale. With ample free parking and nearby public transport, most patients find it easy to attend appointments and pick times that work around work, family and daily routines.
