Who is Eligible?

In order to begin treatment, patients must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a Medicare card. For patients who are not eligible for Medicare, please call the clinic for further information.
  • Fall within a BMI range that meets our guidelines. If you would like any further information, please contact our friendly staff on 1800 111 373 or email info@firststepfertility.com.au
  • There is no financial means test – so you don’t have to worry about being financially ineligible for IVF.

First Step Fertility has certain inclusion criteria that will be assessed by the clinic nurse and clinician prior to treatment.  Treatment options are evidence based, streamlined and follow a set protocol. Adjuvant therapies do not form part of treatment at First Step Fertility. Referral may be provided to more specialized services if a set protocol is not the optimum treatment choice for a patient.
